Missing

Missing (II) was an ephemeral site specific installation set in the natural environment of Queens Wood. It was comprised of nearly two hundred leaves on which I printed the faces of missing people and which I let the wind blow away. All leaves were full and intact before the installation, but they gradually broke throughout the day. Both adults and children actively interacted with the work, picking the leaves up, bringing them back to base, manipulating them of taking them away, understanding with ease the transitory nature of the work, and often guessing that the faces were those of missing people, even though no title or written comments were provided on the day.
